The best music
happens between the bars.
Stillness doesn’t shout.
Step outside.
Breathe free air.
Notice the scaffolding
holding everything up.
Most people
only see it
when the building collapses.
Great symphonies
are written
by leaving bars empty.
No rush.
No forced chorus
where it doesn’t belong.
Breathe.
Show up to conversations
unarmoured.
Honest.
Open your soul
to other viewpoints.
Remove the filter
from your lens.
Overexpose.
Catch every fragment
of the spectrum.
Only then
does the rainbow appear.

They do say silence is more powerful that speaking...I particularly love the stanza "Great symphonies/are written/by leaving bars empty." I couldn't agree more!
Cheers NinjaGirl. I'm glad you like that stanza. I appreciate you stopping by and commenting.

Of course!
Lao Tzu would be proud of this one. The Tao speaks of value being the space in the jar, that between the spokes. A lovely write
Lao Tzu - Stillness and emptiness matter.....I'm flattered sorenbarrett.
Thank you so much 😊

You are most welcome
How wonderful, like a prison fighting for light, rainbows appear only when one feels free, how so remarkably true, I came 2 thousand miles from home to feel my peace. Such wonderful imagery. 🌈
Thank you Teddy. Such a kind comment.
Appreciated - Syd
Long spaces - they continue to get longer, for which I cannot be more grateful, Syd.
Relief from the cacophony.😌
Good of you to present something I can agree with.
Cheers Dave, I hope you're keeping well mate. Always here to chat.
