If I stand on the rock of faith

Amy Michelle Mosier

If I stand on the rock of faith

Then He will not let me down;

My spirit need ask and wait -

Anticipating what is found.

Hold back my scourge, Adonai -

With the power of Your hands.

Your ears have heard my cry;

My lowly heart withstands.

Your peace is what I desire

Although it appears remote.

He declares it in my hour

That will find me alone

And set my heart to fly off -

Flying so wild and light -

Ever bearing to all the rock

From which I took to flight.
