Radio report

Gewar

Radio report:

The bridge is gone.

There is no escape.

The engine's roar

is getting close

to our forlorn place.

I could see no options

but to wait for our fate.

I was afraid.

You held my hand.

Shooting stars

falling down.

They brought fear and death.

Thunderclaps

dismissed the class.

Shushed the innocent.

My fists clenched in black rage.

My vision turned red.

I grabbed the rifle.

You held me back.

Radio waves

brought the pain

with the announcer's voice,

painting the picture

of destruction,

of what was once my home.

I was overwhelmed by shivers

as I lost familiar walls.

The light was gone.

You held me close.

Static noise

cut the voice

as the spire fell.

The holy fresco

crumbled down,

to the sound of bells.

God wouldn't reach this place,

His face was turned away.

He left Adam.

Only Eve stayed.
