Delusional

Jazmyne Monroe

Delusional?

Maybe I was

For thinking that I was ever good enough

For you to actually love me

And not lust me.

For thinking that you would actually let her go

And take the risk and see how things go

With us.

Even though you went out your way to see me

After her reading our texts

and throwing your phone at you.

Even though you still made sure

To tell me you love me

Every chance you got.

Until one day you decided

To wake up and send my world crashing down

Forcing me to put my heart on ice

Because you denied everything you ever felt

About me.

Delusional?

Maybe I was.
