I Feel For Those Suffering

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

So much pain is flowing throughout this strange place,

Sometimes I wonder if humans are even my own race?

I feel for those suffering, fuck the cruel, evil and mean,

Why does this planet seem like a soul sucking machine?

Everyone's running for the fence and wanting a form of escape,

Children are trafficked by police to MPs and judges to rape.

Corruption conquers and tramples on those good and heavenly,

We're all seething with anger but numbed by complacency.

It is the last line that gives chills. Complacency is the great villain and the turning of the head not wanting to see or get involved. There is not enough support for the good Samaritan instead they are drug into a nightmare of red tape and publicity that ruins their day if not life. A sad poem

    Complacency, indifference, we're all guilty.
The world is changing at a rate of knots we can't keep up with, so we end up in limbo.

How angry do we have to be before we do something about it? How many of us have to be mad before change happens? The comfortable never fight back. Fantastic message in a poem, well written!
