A Flight on a Sleepless Night

justARandomJulia

In hopes to pass the time of boredom’s nights,

To me, alone, the sounds will soon harass.

My mind and body now begin their fights,

For me and sleep now meet routine impasse.

Avoidance leads, I look through empty space.

I’m leaving earth and now approaching Mars.

But passing red, I feel Saturn’s embrace.

Yet further still, I’m fleeing towards the stars.

Now flying to Orion’s belt, so free.

I’m floating far, near Alnitak, so odd.

The Horsehead Nebula is calling me.

But these ideas were all just a facade

From skies I am beginning to resign,

From substituting window’s dreams for mine.
