When the night whispers your name

Poet's Dream

When the night whispers your name

I put my hand over my ears

But I still see your face in everyplace

Can't block out the calls

I see your moonlit shadows

Dancing along the walls

The scent of your chocolate, cigarette hair

Fractured memories in the air

I still feel your touch, like a rash

Like an itch I cannot scratch

Your in me and around me, I'm screaming out your name

I can't get you out

My mind is a prison, I cannot escape

You dangle the keys, just out of reach, you mock and the gun, you cocked

Take your aim, my hearts in your hands

Oh why oh why

Can't you're ghost leave me be?

Maybe tonight I'll keep the windows locked
