Forgiveness

moco

you scared boy hiding behind the  shelter you built a strong  wall nothing  can break it creating  a monster to protect  it no one is to ever see the real you. Embarrassing is it feelings of shame  wash over your cold body needing someone anyone to tell you you are good you are the king. Alone you set in misery  crying  look at you your shelter cracked  for a moment  they caught  a glimpse of the real you you slipped panicking  banging  your fist on the wall as you think of your next move.but no one is coming  to your rescue  they have grown cold and empty. Hush now quite the rage all the pain that lives inside I tried to many times  to save you no need to keep hiding  your life is coming to an end soon you will be free.

This poem is eerie and haunting with the conversation of a third party commenting on another who seems powerless and does not speak or maybe it is the reader that is being spoken to in this manner. Regardless it feels condescending and leaves the reader feeling powerless. Well done
