"I'm pure in body and mind"

spiderlily

Pure like a river

Creating comfort for the thirsty travellers

But you don't stay for anything,

You are independent.

Voices of desperate lovers

settled at the shores

You're merciful but no one

Can keep you for themselves

You're a fickle lover

But a lover nonetheless

You abandon everything you touch eventually,

But take their essence with you

A final act of mercy.

The poem explores the complexity of love and relationships, likening love to a river—nurturing yet transient, capable of providing comfort but ultimately unable to be possessed.
