SOLITUDE CALLS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Solitude
A flickering flame
Wrapped in silence
Moments tamed
Shadows dance
Wall to floor
Across the room
To the door.

Idle whisper
Pointed thought
Transcends the mind
Memories caught
Footsteps past
Leave no trace
Coats on hooks
Disappearing face.

Melting wax
Loses grip
Falls to metal
A sudden slip
Forming pools
To settle slowly
Within the flame
Life calls lonely.
