The Running Man (2025)

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Ben Richards becomes embodied by a new actor,
From Arnold to Powell, an Edgar Wright smasher.
The Running Man remake was released in 2025,
Evading the hunters, there's nowhere to hide.
Dan Killian is the studio exec played by Josh Brolin,
Found myself seated in the IMAX cinema, no eye rollin'.
I have to say that I enjoyed this sci-fi thriller,
Even if the public and critics didn't deem it a winner.

A good read of nostalgia. Remember the first and haven't seen the second so no judgement there. The old Arnold films full of action and one liners. Well done

Erm, I don't recall a certain alien in that film. Well, he's not in every film! lol.

Shaun, this comes across as relaxed, playful, and self-aware. You acknowledge the cultural noise around the film without letting it dictate your response. That balance between fandom and independence makes the poem land cleanly. Enjoyed this. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
