The Shepherd's Promise

gray0328

I do not need a single thing.

You lay me down in softer pastures.

You guide me toward quiet streams.

Your word is a map I trust.

When my chest heaves and lungs falter,

you hold time still to catch my breath.

You send me forward with gentle hands,

setting my feet on paths of hope.

Even in valleys where shadows loom,

and the air is heavier than silence,

I walk steady, knowing you're beside me.

Your crook, solid, keeps my fears away.

Through the weight of each winding turn,

you remind me: I am not alone.

This is the promise you always keep.

This is love, constant as the stars.
