Sunny

Karoline

It was a night

Like any other.

Dense, grey clouds

Shrouding the sky,

Silencing the stars.

But then you appeared,

Just like that,

A brilliant moonbeam

Suddenly making

Every night

Beautiful.

We melted together

So effortlessly,

As though always

A part of each other,

Two halves

Of one whole,

Our destinies intertwined,

And I realised then

That I had been

Searching for you

All my life.

The warmth

Of your eyes

Chases every shadow

Within me.

You guard me

From any darkness

That dares to

Come my way.

Every fear I have

Dissolves instantly

As I fall into you arms.

If there is a God,

Then I ask of him

Only this;

That you should

Write me as yours

And please, let me

Write you as mine.

My presence

In your heart

As eternal as

The universe itself.

It was a night

Like any other,

But then you appeared

And just like that,

I finally understood

Forever
