Embracing the pause

Nicole Pritchard

In the whirlwind of thoughts, I claim my ground

A deliberate hiatus, where self-care is found

Stepping back from emotions' ebb and flow

I isolate to heal, for my soul's quiet glow

The world's loud whispers fade away

As inner silence starts to sway

I release the weights that shaped my past

Space unfolds where growth and renewal blast

No judgments linger, just the hum of now

In this calm, my heart somehow knows

I retreat to nourish what's mine to tend

In solitude's gentle grasp, my wellbeing's my friend

Letting go of burdens, I unfurl

Into the new, the better, the whirling twirl

Well rhymed this poem reads well and flows smoothly. It speaks of giving a break to thoughts. Very nicely done.
