drifters’ melody
I see us there,
still tracing our lines,
A fractal caught
in the same design.
The shadows have stretched,
the layers have grown,
Since the days of secrets
we called our own.
You may see a fool
for the way I run,
But I am the shadow,
and you are the sun—
Two parts of a pattern
that won't untie,
No matter the distance
or how many years drift by.

Cryptic this is a beautiful and insightful poem that speaks to me.
"You may see a fool
for the way I run,
But I am the shadow,
and you are the sun—"
What a wonderful way to place the tie between two. Metaphoric for sure and so more applicable in that light. Nicely written and a fave my friend
