Tristan Robert Lange

this is a shitty poem,
if ever one was written,
about the shittiest people
with whom this world’s smitten.
you know the ones,
the underwriters
of fake—bitten—
callous kitten.

It happens.

OMG, well done, my friend, so true.πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ Your poem revolves around the notion of disillusionment with people who are perceived as insincere or hypocritical. The poet expresses disdain for individuals who contribute to societal negativity and superficiality. The subject matter highlights the frustration with "shitty people" and their impact on the world, suggesting a broader commentary on human nature and societal values.πŸ€£πŸ‘β€οΈ

Friendship, thank you…this one is meant to be blunt, not polite, and I’m glad the truth-telling humor landed. Sometimes calling it exactly what it is is the cleanest move. Glad the humor and message landed. πŸ’©πŸ”₯πŸ˜‚πŸ™

I thought I knew who you were talking about until I came to fake bitten callous kitten now I'm smitten. Well done Tristan

Soren, thank you…that turn is exactly where I hoped the footing would slip. If it made you pause and then grin, it did its job. Appreciate you catching that pivot. πŸ’©πŸ”₯πŸ˜‚πŸ™

Trust those you know are worthy, it's new year put the rest in the bin, don't trust those who ask for money, they should give it instead. Here's wishing you a book of your own, with a publisher who can see you, not use you. 🌹

              • Tristan Robert Lange

Indeed...if only our knowledge were omniscient it would be fool proof! πŸ˜… Sadly, I\'ve been that fool before. I\'m getting better at avoiding or rising above it, though. But hey, if I am going to throw a poem away, it might as well be at the end of the year and I might as well top it with icing, no? 🀣

As for the group, I am a part of them and do trust them. 😊 They are literally not making a dime on it. The group has zero funding and are local authors helping local authors, which was nice to find. Anywho, thank you so much, Teddy. I do, too, hope that other publishers will see value in my work as well. If that comes true this year, I will owe YOU a huge shout out for the New Year\'s wish! ❀️ Much appreciated, dearest friend.
