My insomnia is a cat
That wants my attention
Only when I can’t give it
My insomnia is a needy boyfriend
Who I can never seem
To break it off with
Every night insomnia
Leads me out of bed and
Wraps me in his arms and
Convinces me the moon was made
Just for me
And I know I should be in bed
It would probably help if I was in bed
But I can't just sit in bed
That’s why when you come to wake me
I can't get out of my head
Bed
Thats why when you come to wake me
I can’t get out of my bed

A sad and maddening condition that plagues quite a few. Well described in allegory it is well written
