We chase everything and always want more
but...
what if I give you a small bit of reflection?
what's it all for?

So short but says so much. A thought that I have had a great deal lately. It seems that people play the game of money just for the sake of it. There are those that have more than they can ever spend yet continue to play. Then there is the ultimate thought, no one can take any of it with them and as for buying indulgences that went out a long time ago. One might leave an empire but look how past empires destroyed families. A wonderful write in the true spirit of poetry where less is more. Wo nicely done Teddy
Thank you for seeing the insides of this, always a pleasure to hear your views my dear sorrenbarret. Happy New year my dear friend. πΉ

Great question...and the more one has, the seemingly less they ask it. Powerful poem to end the year on, my dear friend! Happy New Year to you and your family! πΉπ€ππ―οΈπ¦ββ¬
So many reasons to reflect on this, we come into to the world with nothing we then leave with nothing but what's in between can be so sad to see from those who find material importance over emotional values, and it's even worse this time of year. Thank you dear Tristan πΉ
A fine write, Teddy. Happy New Year.
Many thanks my dear Jerry, happy New Year my friend. πΉ
this message is truly worth pondering on...i am glad you shared it at the beginning of the new year, which i hope is great for all of us on this site...
I always reflect on this stuff especially at Christmas, I live in the country we don't have malls and hig shopping centres, in London where I was brought up, I came from a poor family, I appreciated everything I had. We live in an incredibly material world, even some my friends in London struggle to keep up with it, I'm proud to say I am a minimalist though choice, humbled by everything even a new pair of socks. Thank you dear NafisaSB it sure is a question worth pondering, because there is truly so much greed in the world and what with the current president of the USA not mentioning his name, greed has become even more an issue because our current roll models are at the very core of greed. π
