lost puppy

jim56

i found a little puppy he looked rather lost
he was in a wheelie bin that someone had tossed
i gently pulled  him out shaky as can be
wrapped in my coat took him home with me

i gave the dog some food a tasty bit of meat
chopped it  in pieces small enough to eat
i gave the dog a home now he stays with me
no more wheelie bins will ever see

dogs they are for life not just for a day
something to discard then just throw away
dogs they have devotion give there love for free
you will have the best friend there will ever be

I completely concur that some individuals possess animals without knowing how to properly care for them, and it's unfortunate that some people don't deserve to have pets. I've witnessed numerous instances of animal mistreatment, which is truly regrettable.
Your poem emphasizes the importance of compassion and responsibility towards animals, particularly dogs. You highlight the idea that pets should be treated as lifelong companions rather than disposable commodities.
