Loneliness

soheil khodaparasti

When neurons
feel nothing but loneliness,
you are truly, utterly alone.

Then
the silent waves of solitude
begin to speak,
and the quiet heart
touches the world without a veil,
with its untold secrets
and hidden mysteries,
finding in loneliness
the highest form of being.

This sounds parallel to Buddhist giving up all desire to find Nirvana and enlightenment. Very nicely written

Thank you for your thoughtful reflection. I really appreciate the connection you have drawn to Buddhist ideas of desire and enlightenment—it is meaningful to know the piece resonated with you on that level. I am grateful you took the time to share this. of course, the loneliness I meant is not self-imposed.
