Tune: Hereford
('O thou who camest from above')
Hosea 10 v.12-13
*******
You have ploughed wickedness, and you
Have reaped the same, 'tis so, 'tis true
And you have eaten fruit of lies
This is certain with no denies
Because you trust in your own way
And in own strength rely today
Sow to yourselves in righteousness
And the Lord God will then you bless
Reap in mercy, loving-kindness
Follow Him now in faithfulness
Break up your fallow ground. untilled
That it may a fine harvest yield
For it is time to seek the Lord
Until He come, and too His word
Is He will come and rain upon
You righteousness, e'en to each one

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.8.8.8. I don't think the main meaning of this is related to the literal ground, but to the 'ground' of our lives.

A poem of promise for reward for labors and deeds at the coming of God. Nicely done Orchi and a Happy New Year to you
Thank you SB. Happy New Year to you too.
Most welcome Orchi Happy New Year
Sowing and reaping, good stuff here🙏🏻🕊️
Thank you A. You started that new year before us? Not waited for the UK time?! lol.
One day I’ll have a 24-hour new year celebration if it’s possible to travel a Timezone in about 45 mins.
Well done, Happy New Year
Thank you F. Happy New Year to you too!
A powerful poem and, yes, I concur on your note too. One thing is for sure, we know it does not mean ZZZZ ZZZ GLUG! 😮💨 And there he, Obi and company go again! 🤣
Thank you T. A glugging gremlin has got in - the video clip won't play now. It was OK at first. Doh! May have to change the video.
A lesson for us all. Good Poem.
Thank you K.
