as I breathe in silent glow

Mourgana of the Fey

witnessing each

cadence within snow

feline flickering opal

a pantomime begins

born into purpose

fallen from the lap

aurora borealis

sings synched light

dawn bore a white cloth

in this burning yielding

a roe deer cries

into the pyric sun

I have seen

galloping Valkyries

among the withered wind

once twice thrice

their hair as fire

speaking old tongues

of ice

A wonderful mythical poem that is so well worded and imaged. Nicely done Happy New Year

  • Tristan Robert Lange

Well done, Mourgana! That image of feline flickering opal caught me immediately. It’s precise and luminous, setting the tone before the myth even arrives. A beautiful, confident opening and a fantastic poem, as always! Happy New Year and good to see you post again. πŸŒΉπŸ–€πŸ™πŸ•―οΈπŸ¦β€β¬›
