Between the Lines

Thomas W Case

wet spring coat jackets
hands searching for the hidden bud
smile under your breath

pages steam too hot
a touch of thigh, a quiet
nod in the daylight

fingers trace outlines
a laugh bounces off the wall
anticipation

midnight in the bed
small sparks buzz under the sheets
electric whispers

tiny hidden pulse
above folds of quiet silk
the button is found

Well written, your poem explores themes of intimacy, anticipation, and sensuality. It captures moments of connection between two individuals, emphasizing the delicate, almost elusive nature of physical and emotional closeness. The vivid imagery conveys a sense of longing and discovery, suggesting that love and desire are both tender and electric. Happy New Year
