Wasted Breath (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

If your verse

is not remembered

Then all that time

was lost

Pretty words

and clever lines

Will melt

like Winter’s frost

If what you say

is subject

To what the wind

will blow

Time better spent

the less you vent

All verbiage

— to forego

(Dreamsleep: January, 2026)

Perfection ...

The difference between

too much

— and not enough

(Dreamsleep: January, 2025)

Loved these Kurt and I have in the past written on the same topics but not so concisely and with such perfection. Nicely done my friend. A fave

Kurt, pairing these two pieces sharpens both. The meditation on wasted breath finds its counterweight in that final definition of perfection…the balance point between overflow and absence. Thoughtful, disciplined work. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
