A memory
Sat cross-legged
A washing line
Drooped without pegs
Railroad tracks
That lead nowhere
A smile which lingers
A circle squared.
To the woman
Who loved Dave
Now in exile
Upon a lonely wave
Of an aging sea
That slowly wanes
Thats lost its power
No longer brave.
Respect now given
Decades passed
To an idle dream
Teenage love to cast
A shadow deep
As life it drains
From that aging sea
And all it means.

Here bits and pieces form a tale that is put together line upon line. Nicely done
