Feel Alive

Alex PB

Notice of absence from Alex PB
Writin' more and more poems is my job,
I shall write when Shakespeare is back.

I want the sun to shine its light on me, as harsh or soft as it likes,

I want to hear the sound of the Maltese shore carressing my inner ears,

I want to be under the moonlight, with a glass of wine,

And a never ending feeling that there's more time,

I want to hear the sweet talk of a beautiful lady bird,

I want the inner weavings of its voice to seduce me,

I want to be loved by the same person who didn't love me,

To feel the despair and cravings in my body as I can't have what I want,

I want to be able to fly between the birds,

Feel the wind brush against my skin and wings,

I want to love in a way a man has never loved before,

And to feel alive as if she never let me go.

This lands hard—hungry, unflinching, and alive. You can feel the want in every line.

This poem flies above the clouds and opens them for the sun to shine through. It reveals the brightness of hope and desire that grows into a dream. A lovely write and a fave
