Dear Son

PoeticBiscuit

My son-my boy,

My peace-my joy,

The heartbeat in my chest.

My song-my muse,

and peek-a-boos,

You truly are the best.

Every second spent with you,

Truly warms my soul,

We’ll play till the sky drains of blue,

I dread you growing old.

How such a soiled human,

Help create such a masterpiece?

A blessing undeserved,

I don’t question such a mystery.

This tragic  world is so cruel,

Whispered lies and misdirection,

Within my heart you’ll always rule,

Dont let them change your perfection.

And though we have yet-

To speak with paragraphs,

I’ve heard the many stories-

Within your laughs.

A parental admiration of the blessing of a child and how that little person bears so little resemblance to those that begot it. A lovely write
