THE ARTISTS EYE

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

The elusive flight
Of bird on high
The tear that lingers
In the artists eye
A candles flame
Early morning dew
A brighter sky
Tainted blue.

The gentle sway
Of lovers dream
In meadows calm
A rippling stream
A butterfly
Wings outstetched
Soaking up the sun
Nature sketched.

Upon the canvas
A paintbrush flows
Spreading a message
Only the painter knows
Nearby the windmill turns
Its sails reap the breeze
Moving leaves
Upon chestnut trees.
