Never Miss an Opportunity to Shut Up

gray0328

Some words leave scars, silent inked cracks.

A whisper withheld can mend grievances unseen.

Tongues are swords; silence, a cautious shield.

Not every thought longs for the open air.

The urge to speak presses like a wave.

But silence is a pause that saves friendships.

The world isn't thirsty for every opinion.

Your quiet does not mean you're unseen.

Listen until the air hums gently, still.

Breath measured, words will know their moment.

This is not shrinking but growing rooted.

The strongest trees bend instead of break.

Each silence is a decision, a soft power.

Let the echoes teach what mouths cannot.

Sometimes it’s best to unclutter the noise.

Sometimes stillness is the loudest voice.

Silence can be far more powerful than noise. Often it is the space between words that makes the most powerful statement, Well said Gray

Such good advice in a poem. Well stated and nicely said silence speaks more than words can ever state.

Should be put in every politician's inbox.
Sadly some people think their voice actually makes a difference, but in reality we know different.

Nicely worded. Choosing silence can be more beneficial in maintaining relationships and fostering understanding.
