Eternal longing of a firefly

Kiri Noa

Fearless i reap her sanguine smile,

The tender warmth of the last setting sun,

Night whispers and brings to me one final time,

a luciferin glow of a thousand suns.

Gliding beyond my bleeding light,

Melting into her silver moon ,

She leaves me lost in my field so bright,

I lie in silence for my soul-sooth hue.

There is a sense of longing with this poem that goes beyond sunset. Nicely done
