I have galaxies in my EYES 👀

Aaron Roberson

Look close.

Really close.

See?

I have galaxies in my eyes.

Spinning, swirling,

a thousand worlds orbiting in chaos,

and every star?

Every blazing comet?

A spark of what I can be.

I am euphoria incarnate,

a heartbeat that skips

like the universe is playing

my favorite song,

and I—

I am dancing

between the planets,

grinning at the black holes

that try to swallow me whole.

I’ve felt the high,

the lift-off from gravity,

like my soul

has learned to fly

without wings,

without permission,

without fear.

Colors bleed into music

and music bleeds into touch

and touch…

touch becomes electricity

and electricity becomes me.

I am incandescent,

alive in the spaces

where time forgets to exist.

And yes—

I’m dizzy with wonder,

tripping on the infinite,

laughing at the smallness of yesterday,

because today?

Today I am light-years away

from doubt.

Today I orbit joy

and crash into bliss

and burn in ecstatic supernova,

and still—

there’s room in my eyes

for more galaxies.

I carry universes in my pupils,

and every glance is a nova,

every blink is a new world being born,

every smile?

A constellation carved just for you.

So look.

Look close.

Do you see it?

Do you feel it?

I am not just alive.

I am euphoria.

I am infinite.

I am galaxies

in my motherfucking eyes. 👀

Eyes the mirror to the soul contain all our dreams and hopes and fears. A lovely poem that seems to echo this. Nicely said
