Sunita

I have always been a poet

Inspired by art, music, culture

By love, beauty, power

It’s always been so natural

So easy and surreal

Words flew through my ink

As if they lived through me

But with you,

With you I question everything of myself

Everything I though I knew, and everything else to uncover

I haven’t been able to write about you

No matter how I tried

As if pages weren’t enough

Words wouldn’t abide

Impossible to capture a single side

But here it goes

Everything that lives in me

Every unsaid phrase

Every single trace

My wondering thoughts left

Way down memory lane

Here’s what’s in my brain

To love, is mystical

It isn’t about falling in love with his  height

Not with his arms or his glare

I don’t wanna fall in love with his car or the watches he wear

With his words, those meant to intimidate

I don’t want to fall in love with the apperance

At which everyone’s gaze lingers

I want to fall in love, with parts no one knows

With sides they haven’t seen

With the actions of his, reserved only for me

I want to fall in love with his eyes

The eyes that lit up at the sight of my face

The eyes that linger a second more before he says “ok”

The eyes that smile with his face

The eyes that see beauty in the most broken vase

The eyes that picture a future

Country side place

2 or 3 kids, family photo in every single frame

The eyes that possess such heart melting flame

I want to fall in love with the eyes that see perfect

with the eyes that believe

With the eyes that see the best in every part of me

I want to fall in love with his voice

The voice so charming, I could literally chock

The voice that never said a bad thing

The voice that always knows to compliment

The voice that makes me wanna cry

Just as much as I wanna laugh

The voice that talks so passionate

The voice that cares for me

The voice that reassures

That he’d never leave me

I want to fall in love with his heart

The heart that knows pain

But knows how to love too

The heart that’s never scared

The heart so brave to rule

The heart that still believes

In that one last time

After all that’s been gone

Every part that he’d lost

The heart that knows to care

Despite the bad in the world

The heart that never doubts

The 3 most beautiful words

I want to fall in love with his touch

The touch that sends jolts of electricity down my spine

The touch that makes every hair on the back of my neck stand

The touch that gives me goosebumps

The touch that’s so warm

The touch that gives me butterflies

With movements so carefully thought

I want to fall in love with the way that he loves

With the way that he cares

With the way that he laughs

With the movements of his eyes

With the passion he drives

I don’t care about his hair

Or the way he dresses

The way he appears

But instead with every part of his very charm

I want to fall in love with things that makes him, him.

A lovely poem of the American fantasy and dream of finding the perfect soulmate. Nicely written with passion undeterred. Well done
