The only reason…I still believe in love

Job Welime

The only reason…I still believe in love

is because of the way I know how to give it.

No limits. No safety nets. No armor.

I love like heartbreak never found my address.
Like pain never memorized my name.
Like loss never sat beside me and took notes.

Not because I’ve never been broken,
but because I refused to let brokenness
teach me how to become small.

I love with my whole chest.
With my whole truth.
With hands open,
even when experience says “close them.”

I choose love without fear,
as if tomorrow still believes in us.
As if hope hasn’t been disappointed before.

And if love ever leaves again
let it never say I was cautious, let it never say i loved halfway,

Let it only say I was brave.
