Never Done

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Life is full of seasons. This is a season of transition for me, where I will be moving with my family to a new location. As such, with much logistics to consider, I am doing my best to keep up. Please know if I accidentally don't respond, it is not because I am ghosting or becoming distant. Once things settle after the move, I am sure life will return to some normalcy. In the meantime, and always:

Read ๐Ÿ‘“, Write โœ๏ธ, Rise ๐ŸŒ…, Realize ๐Ÿคฏ.

Tristan ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›
Sitar siren song,
Weave your spell—

Hypnotic—

The trance sets in.
Shed my skin—
No longer shamed

By sin—

Notes and time
twang into one—

No reality but Brahman.
The haze burns off
The bright sun.

Nightfall rises
Upon us all.
Shadow souls shifted—
Illusion has been lifted,
Deceit is on the run;

And the music—

Never done.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Some of you already heard this when I soft-released it here and shared the lyrics back in October 2025. Necromancy Sublime is now officially out and available on all major (and most minor) streaming platforms. This is part of Dark Alchemy, my forthcoming album under the project name TragicLife. If it was here in October saw it. A seductive siren is always welcome. A fun read Tristan who would not shed their skin for a siren?

        Me.

          Well there are some

Soren, beautifully said. Indeed. The siren isnโ€™t danger here so much as permissionโ€ฆto shed, to dissolve, to be remade. You caught that balance of seduction and release perfectly. Thank you for walking into it with me. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™

Seduction never a danger by itself to be a danger there must be ill intent. A lovely write Tristan

                Precisely! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

It's all about the music, soulful and mystical, uninhibited.
It's the trip we all want to be on at some point in our lives.

                • Tristan Robert Lange

Paul, that really means a lot. You named the heart of itโ€ฆthe surrender to sound, the uninhibited pull that carries you somewhere truer. Iโ€™m grateful you felt that journey, my friend. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™

It's easy to be no longer ashamed when it gets so so tempting... But when the bright sun leaves, and we're left in the cold night, there's no more comfort, and no more brightness.

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

๐Ÿฅท, your response echoes the risk inside the trance itself. The freedom feels pure in the momentโ€ฆbut aftermath always asks its own questions. I value how thoughtfully you sat with that, dearest poet and friend. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™

                  • Mutley Ravishes

I heard Quasar stars emit music! Tolkien wrote about it, too.
"No longer shamed by sin." Love it!

                    • Tristan Robert Lange

Mutley, beautifully spotted. Cosmic music, Tolkienโ€™s creation-song, and that release from shame all braid together here. The idea that sound itself restores what guilt fractures is right at the heart of this poem. Thank you, my friend. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™

A transcendental trance I can almost experience through your words, Tristan. The sitar was certainly in my head as I read it. I'm back in the sixties.

                      • Tristan Robert Lange

Dave, beautifully put. A trance you can almost step into, sound rising before meaningโ€ฆthatโ€™s exactly the space I hoped to open as I wrote it under a tree literally listening to a live sitar player and drummer jam out together. Felt very 60's indeed. Iโ€™m grateful you traveled there with it, my friend. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™

And the music never done, I find the best lyrics are the ones written from the soul, and here your soul comes out fighting! ๐ŸŒน

                        • Tristan Robert Lange

Dearest Teddy, that really hits home. Writing from the soul is the only way I know how to do itโ€ฆand knowing you felt that fight in here means everything, seriously. Thank you for that, dear poet and friend. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ•‰๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™
