When you take the trash out at the end of the day, do you go back the next day and pick it up again? Of course not; so why not keep your past mistakes in the same bin? God doesn’t remember our sins of the past. Do you know what He does? He covers them with His blood and leaves them where they belong. When you uncluttered your closet; spring cleaning is what it’s called; why not do the same with your mistakes? Don’t allow them to cause you to fall. When you lovingly encourage a sister or a brother in deep grief; do you hold onto to those words for yourself as well? Do you allow yourself time to let things be? God doesn’t forgive us so we can hold onto mistakes from the past; don’t you think it’s about time to leave the past in the trash?

A poem of forgiveness. I believe that before one can ask forgiveness of another one must forgive themselves. Not forget or one would not learn but forgive knowing that you have made good on what you did and that it won't happen again. Nice write
Good write GS. I'm sorting the trash cans, for something for KP's dinner. I am terrible. lol. But then she put me in a trash can and threw me out. Doh!
My friend, this is thoughtful and grounded. The everyday images make grace feel livable, not abstract…a choice repeated until it finally sticks. You offer encouragement without pressure...which matters. Well done, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
