Smooth things

2781

Speak smooth things

Don't speak ill

Speak life

Speak his will.....

But isn't it a day of darkness

One devoid of light

Mirrored on the void

The echoes of  life

Who can stand, on such lofty a day

When all of the dross is blown away

When works are tested with fervent heat

When hearts are opened

Too reveal deceit

The call went out

It goes out still

A thousand year reign

Breaking hearts

Is a bitter pill.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I have a new phone\r\nWhat a delight\r\nBut it won\\\'t let me onto the poetry site\r\nBut my old broken phone will!\r\nO what a thrill, with its line down the middle, I can see what I am writing.\r\nSo forgive me my piers, I hold them as dears, and love everyone of em.

My friend, this is searching and uncompromising. Gentle words, hard testing, and the cost of reckoning all move together without easy resolution. The poem asks questions it doesnโ€™t rush to answer. Well done! ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

Deceit is a cancer that is hard to remove and sometime is inoperable. A good write
