I used to clutch the days too tight,
Measuring meaning in stubborn lines,
But a feather drifted past my doubt,
And danced with a grace that rewrote time.
It didn’t fight the breath of sky,
Didn’t demand the wind obey.
It trusted flight, then let it go—
A lesson I needed that day.
Now I loosen my grip on the script I wrote,
My love, my plans, even pain.
We walk through storms with lighter hearts,
And kiss in sun, not chasing rain.
You showed me how to glide, not grip,
To laugh when silence falls.
Our marriage floats like that peacock plume—
Beautiful, brave, and small.
