Emotional Ink

Kayla Jackson

She always uses color when she writes.

The overbearing beautiful strokes of blue:

highlights of wonder and peace.

And the broad strokes of red:

anger deepened with the warmth of frustration.

Both intertwined in beautiful creation.

A confused art.

Colour does rule your life in a way.
And at the moment we all want blue skies yellow sun, blue lagoon, and topped up tan.

Color such an important part of artistic expression is generally left out of print because of the difficulty discerning letters from background. I once wrote a poem in yellow and had so many complain that they could not read it. Contrast works here. A lovely poem of metaphor in color and emotion well written

Thank you so much! I once wrote a poem titled imagery in red and got the same reaction!
