Crucible

Tristan Robert Lange

(Intro)

Born into a crucible
Burning in a crucible
This world is a crucible
It will change you—crucible

Thrown into a crucible
Melting in a crucible
Immolating crucible
Mentallurgy—crucible

(Interlude)

Pushed into the crucible
Gonna scorch me—crucible
Purify me—crucible
Learned to love the crucible.

Find me in the crucible
Refining me—crucible
Becoming new—crucible
Rising from the crucible

(Bridge)

(Solo)

Crucible
Crucible

Quite the song this poetic write it speaks of welcoming the fire and enduring the refining. Each rock easier to remain what it is yet so much more valuable when refined. This poem pounds with each utterance of the word crucible like a blacksmiths hammer on the anvil shaping weapons for the war against life. Embrace the fire the flame the crucible, the process makes one stronger and more valuable

    • Tristan Robert Lange

Soren, beautifully said. Fire, repetition, and endurance all serve the same purpose hereโ€ฆnot destruction, but becoming. Your reading honors the process at the heart of the song, and Iโ€™m grateful for it. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ–ค๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ™

Only one question (I got a little claustrophobic, as I am wont to do, in the crucible๐Ÿ™ƒ) Is that portrait of a handsome fella up there you, Tristan?

Despite my phobia, powerful image, that crucible......

      • Tristan Robert Lange

๐Ÿ˜‚ Dave, you caught meโ€”Guilty as charged! ๐Ÿ˜ It is me. And your reaction fits perfectly. The crucible isnโ€™t a place anyone wants to linger, but Iโ€™m glad the image and the song still worked for you. Much appreciated!. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ–ค๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ™

Quite the ingenious topographical mapping of the soul. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

        • arqios

Very 80s vibe there. And just a hint of Gollum at the end. Covered all the bases๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ™

          • Tristan Robert Lange

Thank you, my friend! That phrase โ€œtopographical mapping of the soulโ€ really lands for me. The crucible as terrain rather than event feels exactly right. And yesโ€ฆthere may be a faint Gollum echo lurking in the shadows, precious. ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ–ค๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ™

You in the dark there?! lol. Good write T.
Ohh, I can't deal with words like 'topographical' this time of the morning! lol.

            • Tristan Robert Lange

๐Ÿ˜‚ Guilty on all counts, Orchi. At this time in the morning, I am sipping a topographical coffee...aka, a home cold-brewed coffee with ice and Pistachio Cream on top. ๐Ÿคฃ Appreciate you, my friend. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ–ค๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ™

One could say flammable? ๐Ÿคฃ Fabulous

              • Tristan Robert Lange

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ”ฅ Oh...definitely! Like poof, up in flames! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Glad you enjoyed it, dearest Teddy! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ–ค๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ™

Born into a crucible for sure! Are we being prepared for something?
Nothing like some music to bring more life to the words.

                • Tristan Robert Lange

Indeed! And that is the question, right? Whether every single fire blast is divinely ordained or not, I have my doubts, but I do have faith we are. Regardless of that, it shapes us for sure. Thank you so much, my friend. I really glad the music aided it. Indeed! Music and poetry are a chef's kiss combination! Much appreciated. ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ๐Ÿฆโ€โฌ›

                  • Mutley Ravishes

Is every single fire blast divinely ordained? That`s a great question. I have my doubts too. Where did the first impulses to do "evil" come from? The search goes on! (Am I even asking the "right" question?!)

                    • Tristan Robert Lange

Are we ever asking the right questions? Well, yes...odds of large numbers, right? But how often are we? Indeed, our philosophical minds continue to sojourn on! LOL!
