"Music Hath Charms ..." (+1)

Kurt Philip Behm

Words set to music

reach a loftier plane

than naked words

alone

Melody lifting

what’s spoken or sung

to where only

— it can go

(Dreamsleep: January, 2026)

'Seal Creed'

Let the other guy

die for his country ...

I’m living for mine

Let the other guy

waddle in shame ...

in glory I cry

Let the other guy

sanction defeat ...

in victory I thrive

Let the other guy

rot in his grave ...

 eternal I strive

I have always thought the same. Poetry in song is very powerful touching all parts of the body and soul

      A hearty Amen!

Too bad that most songwriters bow to the popular dollar not the value of the soul

I watched a you-tube of James Taylor where he stressed that his career had a few setbacks because he refused to compromise with the commercial interests.
