Is there consciousness
without language ...
how would you know
I believe that there is
but have nothing
to show
The ‘Hard Problem’
continues ...
unmetered unrhymed
Restated
unproven
— and left ill defined

A great poem my friend about an intriguing question that all depends on how one defines consciousness. If awareness defines it then certainly there is but if one builds in a self limiting aspect of language then maybe not. It is interesting how man has a way of building tests of consciousness and intelligence that are confined to his own aspects. Maybe we should step outside ourselves and open our eyes to the fact that there other ways to look at the world.
Thanks Soren. Philosophers continue to wrestle ...
You are most welcome Kurt it is a particular area of interest of mine
Descartes came closest with 'thinking,' but I often wonder
if you can even think without language.
One may think in images many animals do so
Without words to define and tie images together ... I wonder.
Kurt, there’s a quiet courage in how you let the question stand. The belief is present, the proof absent, and you don’t rush to reconcile them. That unresolved space feels intentional and true…and it impacts. A powerful, thoughtful piece, my friend. Happy Sunday! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
My favorite mind-squeeze. Thanks TR.
Indeed. You are most welcome, my friend!
