Kiss Me!

Brian Otucho

Behold,

O luminous marvel of the firmament
And drift closer to the wings of destiny itself
For lo, my soul ascendeth like incense before the throne of eternity
Calling thy presence with reverent thunder and gentle fire
Verily, let thy lips fallas a blessing from the heavens
A celestial comet of tenderness upon the altar of my longing

By the shimmering choirs of starlight
And the hush of bashful Seraphim
Grant unto me this sacred seal.

This holy whisper of affection
Fear not for I kneel not as a conqueror
But as a pilgrim crowned in courage and fleshy minted breath
Thus I proclaim with heavenly majesty and anime born radiance:
'Draw nigh O beloved of the cosmos
And inscribe our moment upon the scrolls of eternity
Kiss me...'

And let the universe applaud in glittering silence!

A kiss one universal signs of intimacy to be so intimate with him as to kiss the lips of God. What a metaphor.
