You're Not The Only One

ForeverJesus7

So how did we get here?

I do not know.

... but stop acting as though,

you're the only one with problems.

Other people have them too, you know.

I know that you know,

but stop all of your whining.

I can complain too,

but I look at the silver lining.

Like how I can't hear out of my left ear,

but at least I can hear out of my right,

or how my knee and ankle,

hurt just about everyday.

... but at least my left leg is alright.

I am here for you when times are hard:

to listen to you cry.

... but if that's all I'm here for,

find another guy.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this to someone in particular. I thought we had something. I thought we could have had something. I suppose she doesn't want a relationship anymore. I suppose the love is no longer there. (Sigh) Persistence is key
