Politics stirs, a bitter brew,
Acidic words, the people rue.
Divisive tones, the truth they mask,
Eating away, like a silent task.
Hate and fear, the narrative spin,
Corroding hearts, where love should win.
Leaders rise, with promises grand,
Yet underneath, a hidden hand.
Manipulating minds, with crafted lies,
Fueling rage, with divisive cries.
Truth becomes, a flexible friend,
As power's goal, the people amend.
Echo chambers loud, the truth they mute,
Facts distorted, in a poisonous suit.
Opinions reign, as facts decay,
In this swamp, truth loses its way.
Blindly followers, led by the nose,
Drinking poison, in a toxic dose.
Acidic politics, a burning fire,
Consuming all, with hate's dark desire.
Burning bridges, destroying trust,
Leaving ashes, where love used to rust.
The cost is high, the people pay,
For leaders' greed, in a toxic way.
But still we hope, for a better day,
When leaders rise, who show the way.
With hearts of love, and words so kind,
They heal the wounds, of a troubled mind.
They bring us together, hand in hand,
And build a nation, on a peaceful land.
In this sea, of a troubled world,
We search for leaders, who unfurl.
A flag of love, a banner of peace,
And guide us forward, with gentle ease.
For in the end, it's love that wins,
And acidic politics, lose their sin.
