Hearts And Flowers

mtrotter1

Lost in your virgin eyes

The rose is delicate and bright

She stands tall and she is queen

The sky is her castle

But who is her king?

Heaven falls like a gentle rain

One heart fills the empty mysteries

Two hearts make everything fine

Love is ever so rare

In the arms of a devoted lover

She travels alone on her bicycle

Selling hearts and flowers

My god the virgin is alive!

The streets are full of revelry

And our minds are full of gold

Leaving behind the past that is dust

A simple poem is bittersweet

A flower or two always seizes the day

With so much mercy in the air.
