Your love came with,,,

Job Welime

Your love came with a ladder, for all the walls I thought I could not go over,

Your love came with patience, the kind that waits without tapping its foot, the kind that listens even when my words were tangled
even when silence was all I had to offer

Your love came with light, soft enough not to blind me, strong enough to show me the parts of myself
I had kept in the dark for years,

Your love came with hands that did not rush, did not demand, hands that held my fears like fragile glass
and never once let them fall

Your love came with faith in me, on days I had none, when I doubted my worth, you spoke my name like a promise
like something God had already decided was good,

Your love came with healing, not loud, not dramatic just steady,
Undoing the damage of every time I had been taught, that love meant leaving

Your love came with a home, not a place
But a feeling, where my heart finally sat down took a breath and stopped preparing for goodbye,

And if I am softer now,
If I love without armor,
If I believe again,
It is because your love did not just find me,

It came prepared.
