The Unfound

Kayla Jackson

In crowded rooms and city lights,

Amidst the unknown faces,

In empty fields and open spaces,

By myself, in lonely places,

Is where I search for you.

This short poem has a certain hidden charm to it. It is hidden in the rhyme in the center of this poem with a triple repetition framed with a starting line without rhyme and an ending line without rhyme. It is not just this but the meaning of the poem is deep with the introduction of searching within for another. A lovely write and a fave
