Retendered

Kurt Philip Behm

Until they find a cure

for avarice and greed

the just will stand alone

Until they combine

the system as caste

vicissitude sits on the throne

Until they end

starvation and blight

world hunger forever abides

Until their love

is retendered anew

— Ascension forever denied

This poem is another in your particular style Kurt. It holds the same splendor as your others do. Nicely done

Kurt, this reads like a modern lamentation. Each conditional names a failure we recognize, and the final denial of ascension lands with sober clarity. A disciplined, powerful piece, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
