GRIEF

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

I think I saw
The angels weep
Upon that night
Free of sleep
Golden tears
Without restraint
Lit by lanterns
Of a cruel fate.

Noble hands
Gripping tight
With clenching fingers
Haloes bright
In corners where
Loss was fought
Bitter grief
Moments caught.

Half broken phrases
Etched in stone
Tear filled eyes
Without a home
You bitter loss
You cruel blow
The deepest cut
The heart to show.
