Feel the wind sigh as it pets the grass,
Luminous at night without a final pass,
Waver at the cliff with a fading laugh,
Time is passing faster than the sand in the glass
Summer is a breeze and winter isn't easy
Autumn ain't for lovers and the spring rains freely
Wonder when the words will wake me up from sleeping
Will I know what's real and if it's worth believing
Cuz my world is one of satin and some cushioned chairs
Peeling back the bloody fabric layer by layer
Wash it off with sawdust and an unused flare
Watch it conflagrate under the moon we share
She's playing a song about a business man
Working hard, making love as best as he can
His ring is on a digit on his calloused hand
While hers is buried somewhere on her family's land.
Cause nothing in the world belongs to me,
I missed out on the global loving spending spree
And if what's left of that isn't free
Then I'm all mine, all mine.

A most surreal poem that takes the reader on a journey. Full of symbolic metaphor it comes to its recognition that in the end we are all we got. Nicely done
Your poem had me thinking. Your Title of the poem threw me off with the poem! Your poem reflects on the ephemeral quality of life and relationships, expressing a sense of loss and a longing for authenticity in a world that feels detached and commercialized.
